The facility itself where the collection is located is the oldest building at Ellington Field. The hangar itself dates back to WWII, and currently we are unsure of its exact build date.

It is unrestored, however extremely structurally sound. Excluding the historic aircraft in the collection, the hangar itself is a sight to behold to witness with its historic structure and build. The hangar doors themselves are a unique statement to how hangars used to be built, and are on massive iron rollers.
