One of the most recent acquisitions for the museum is this 2 seat Aero Vodochody L-39C Albatross, a Czech built jet trainer. ​

This particular airplane, S/N 132025, was modified and has custom built wingtips for its racing career in the Reno Air Races from 2009 to 2012.

 

Although from a warbird standpoint the L-39 is an unremarkable airplane compared to the rest of the collection, it provides a much more practical platform for newer pilots to enter into the jet warbird world.
